Americana, Folk, and Gospel band
Fiddle, guitar, bass, cajon, and the harmonies of a couple of very nice tenors — Honeyrock plays Americana, folk and gospel music.
They covers songs that range from American standards like “Singing In the Rain,” “Ashokon Farewell,” and “On the Sunny Side of the Street,” to favorites like Bob Dylan’s “If Not For You” and Van Morrison’s “Irish Heartbeat.” The gospel repertoire includes old-timey songs like “I’ll Fly Away” and contemporary gospel like the fiddle songs of Georgian Banov.
The band just released their first album, a selection of traditional carols entitled A Honeyrock Christmas.
A portion of the proceeds from A Honeyrock Christmas goes to Iris Global, an organization that provides orphan care, primary education, and medical clinics in Mozambique. (irisglobal.org)
